My first posting will be a sad one. I took this photo of Vic Chesnutt in front of This Ain't Hollywood in Hamilton, Ontario on June 23rd 2009. Yesterday, I found out that he had died of an overdose on Christmas Day. This particular photo was taken just as he had left his mini van after a long hot 8 hour drive from Montreal. I remember sitting on the side walk infront of his wheelchair and watching him pull his dead legs into place for the portrait. Then with his head held up high he said "ready". Vic apparently even though insured was largely in debt to hospitals. Hopefully his death will shed light on the broken health care system in the states and help others in similar situations. RIP Vic (November 12, 1964 – December 25, 2009)
