Ari Up R.I.P.

Ari Up (17th January 1962- October 20th 2010) This photo was taken by me at the Casbah in Hamilton, Ontario.

This night maybe 10 people showed up to the bar so she turned the show into an unofficial practice. At one point she called up my date on stage and they sang Clash covers together. After the show she let me take portraits and gave me and my date her home address in New York to hang out in the future. Ari Up was as genuine as a person can get. Her impact is undeniable on so many levels. Very cool girl. Very fun night.
